Zero waste is a paradigm shift and a new way of thinking about the environment and the economy.

Our educational programs and content help people connect the dots between their actions, larger systems, and our planet. We focus heavily on providing tangible actions that people can take so people feel empowered instead of overwhelmed.

This year we’ll develop a student challenge and improve our systems for continued learning.

The movement for zero waste is broad and there are tons of great people working on solutions.

Live Zero Waste supports people, orgs, and businesses doing great work by providing organizing resources, web services, and putting on events like the Trash Talk Tour and Summer Fest Extravaganza that celebrate all the different ways people are working towards zero waste.

We can’t solve everything on our own! We need strong public policy to back our initiatives, provide basic services,  and to shape norms around waste.

We work closely with city governments to push for policy solutions like universal composting.

This year we’re targeting state level policies like Extended Producer Responsibility that offer systemic solutions and hold corporations accountable.
